Protecting the environment:  AI can be used to monitor and track environmental conditions, helping to identify and address environmental problems. Advancing scientific research:  AI can be used to analyze large amounts of data and make predictions that can help guide scientific research and discovery. Improving transportation:  AI can be used to develop self-driving vehicles, which have the potential to reduce accidents

  There are several risks associated with artificial intelligence (AI) that are worth considering. Some of the most significant risks include: Bias:  AI systems can perpetuate and amplify biases that are present in the data used to train them. This can lead to discriminatory outcomes and harm marginalized groups. Lack of accountability:  It can be difficult to determine who is responsible when an AI system makes a decision or takes an action that has negative consequences. Job displacement:  As AI systems become more sophisticated, they may be able to perform tasks that are currently done by human workers. This could lead to job displacement and unemployment. Security risks:  AI systems can be vulnerable to cyber attacks, which could have serious consequences if the system is being used in a critical application. Loss of control:  As AI systems become more complex and autonomous, it may be difficult for humans to understand how they make decisions or to intervene when things go wrong.

The higher the weekly jobless claims number goes, the more likely the Fed will look at slowing down rate hikes, and ultimately that should help the market get out of the doldrums. Seasonal staff have taken the pressure off which may see a smaller or no rate high next time.

Is inflation starting to ease or are investors taking an educated risk getting into the market?  Are the whales trying to make a santa profit for December before the EOY?

  Out of touch

  Another Stimulus  One of the great independent journalists who has really found his mojo during this crisis has been Jordan Schachtel. His substack account seems often ahead of the major news. He drew my attention to something so bizarre that I never imagined it would happen. He believes that the politicians are, right now, plotting another stimulus check drop on citizens as a way of helping people deal with inflation.

  Inflation has been running hot for about 5 years but we have not really noticed.  The basket that calculates inflation is changed multiple times a year to mask the real cost of inflation.  Inflation is a very personal figure and should have a range for the multiple stages in life.  Education, early workers, late workers, and retirement and probably stages inbetween.
